A Silver Plated Victorian Novelty Walnut and Leaf Inkwell - A Victorian Silver Plated novelty inkwell modelled as a cast walnut set upon a base of three overlapping textured leaves. The hinged walnut shell lid opens to reveal a recessed interior housing a removable clear glass ink well. The base includes a small cast twig-like handle to one side, and the leaves feature detailed vein textures and scalloped edges. The underside of the leaf base is stamped with the characters L C & W H & C o in a rectangular punch and S P within an oval punch. Width: 8.5 cm.
