The group includes a large octagonal wood chest featuring a brass-studded border and a front-mounted keyhole. A wood box displays deep relief foliate and floral carving in the Anglo-Indian style to the lid and sides. A silver box features dense embossed scrollwork and a central circular medallion to the lid. The assortment further contains several wood boxes with marquetry and parquetry inlays in the Sorrento style, including geometric designs and floral motifs. A black lacquered box is decorated with painted butterflies and flowers. A plain light wood box is finished with a brass clasp to the front.
