A Wood and Crewelwork Circular Footstool - A Victorian style wood footstool featuring a circular dark-stained base with four integral squat feet. The top is upholstered with a hand-embroidered crewelwork panel on a cream linen ground. The needlework depicts a stylized Jacobean revival floral arrangement including a large central blossom in shades of ochre and dusty pink, surrounded by scrolling foliage and smaller blossoms in sage green, tan, and brown wool yarn. The base is finished with a dark mahogany-coloured stain. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the base or upholstery. Diameter: 28 cm.
