A Collection of Ensign Disney Lantern Slides and Wax Candles - A collection of vintage Disneyana comprising a quantity of lantern slides and a set of four wax candles. The slides are housed in a hinged wooden chest and include three original cardboard boxes titled Mickey Mouse in Giant Land, Santa's Workshop, and Donald Duck in An Alpine Adventure. The slides consist of film cells mounted in vertical cardboard frames, produced under license by Ensign Limited, London. The candle set is presented in a red cardboard box labelled Disney CANDLES and contains four figural wax candles depicting Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Minnie Mouse, each in individual protective wrappers. A printed mark on the blue slide box reads Made in England by Ensign Limited by arrangement with Walt Disney-Mickey Mouse Ltd. The slide boxes also note associated books published by Wm Collins Ltd.
