The lantern frame is constructed from cast and pierced metal with six panels inset with textured ice glass. The upper gallery and base are accented with architectural finials, including a prominent spiked finial to the underside. The metalwork is finished with intricate scrolling foliate motifs and star-shaped piercings to the lower domed section. The lantern is fitted with a modern white plastic-coated electrical cable and a metal hanging chain. No maker's marks are visible; the frame is secured with flat-head slotted screws.
