Bidspirit auction | Remington Model 8 Semi-Automatic Rifle,
Remington Model 8 Semi-Automatic Rifle, .32 Remington - Early Remington Model 8 semi-automatic takedown rifle chambered in .32 Remington, serial number 16918. Designed by John M. Browning, the Model 8 was one of America’s earliest successful high-power semi-automatic sporting rifles and remains a desirable collector firearm today. This example dates to approximately 1909, making it an early-production Model 8. Features include a long-recoil semi-automatic action, takedown design, fixed internal magazine, walnut stock and forearm, and standard Remington Model 8 configuration. The .32 Remington chambering was one of the original Model 8 calibers and is desirable to collectors, though ammunition is now obsolete and less commonly available. Condition - Looks to be in great condition for its age. We have not tested to see if it fires but looks like it could. A good early Model 8 in .32 Remington is a solid collector and sporting-rifle history piece.
