Marked ”Thonet” on the back as shown in photos. This Thonet rocking chair measures, 41'' H x 19'' W x 39'' D. One small mark on the back leg which appears to be a small burn as shown in photos. Michael Thonet, a German cabinetmaker, revolutionized furniture design in the 19th century with his innovative bentwood technique. This method allowed for mass production of elegant and affordable chairs, making them accessible to a wider audience and revolutionizing the furniture industry.
