1935 PEACE DOLLAR - This lot features a 1935 Peace Dollar. The Peace dollar, a US silver dollar coin, was minted to commemorate the end of World War I and to symbolize the country's hope for lasting peace. It was designed by Anthony de Francisci and was struck in 1921 and 1922 in high relief before being switched to a lower relief design in 1922. The coin was first minted in 1921 and continued to be produced until 1928, and then again in 1934 and 1935.
