TIFFANY & CO., STERLING SILVER MUG - This lot features a sterling silver mug manufactured by Tiffany & Co., circa 1914 with a total approx. weight of 142.67 grams. Engraved on the face of the mug as well as underneath near the maker mark as shown in photos. Tiffany & Co.'s history with silver is deeply intertwined with its identity as a luxury jeweler. Initially focused on stationery and fancy goods, the company evolved to become a leader in sterling silver design, particularly after partnering with John C. Moore in 1851. Tiffany adopted the British sterling standard (92.5% pure silver) and established the first American school of design for silver, influencing the industry and setting high standards of craftsmanship.
