RICHARD HENRY DANA JR., ”TWO YEARS BEFORE THE MAST” - TYMOR FARM - This lot features a book in case published by The Heritage Press in New York titled, ”Two Years Before the Mast” by author Richard Henry Dana Jr. and illustrated by Dale Nichols. From the library of Tymor Farm (stamped as shown in photos) where Mark Twain's collection was stored for many years. From the collection of Jean Webster who was a niece of Mark Twain and her father was Mark Twain's publisher. She graduated from Vassar College in 1901. Jean and Ralph Connor, the daughter and son in law, inherited Tymor Farm and in 1971 donated five hundred acres of land to the people of Union Vale to be used as a park and recreation center.
