STEUBEN, GLASS ANIMAL COLLECTION #1 - This lot features a collection of five (5) animal themed Steuben Glass sculptures, with five cases to accompany them. Steuben Glass is an American art glass company founded in Corning, New York, in 1903 by Frederick Carder. Originally known for colored glass, it shifted to brilliant clear crystal in the 1930s after being acquired by Corning Glass Works (now Corning Inc.) in 1918. The brand was sold in 2008, production ceased in 2011, and was reacquired by Corning Inc., which now oversees its production and sales through the Corning Museum of Glass.
