H.A. FRAMBURG & CO., WWII U.S. NAVY SHIP MODEL SET - This lot features a complete set of WWII U.S. Navy recognition ship models in their original, self-contained wooden display case. These sets were manufactured by H.A. Framburg & Co. for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Aeronautics to help personnel identify friendly and enemy vessels during the war. This set measures (closed), 18.5'' H x 36.5'' W x 6.75'' D. These models are generally considered 1/1200 scale, and were used as identification and training aids for the Navy during World War II.
