CHRISTOFLE FOR NEIMAN MARCUS, FLATWARE SET - This lot features a stunning set of flatware by Christofle for Neiman Marcus. Each piece is beautifully marked as shown in photos, accompanied with Neiman Marcus covers, and housed in a vintage flatware box for safe storage. Christofle was founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle, who gained a reputation for his innovative silver plating technology and became a purveyor to the French court. The company grew significantly, supplying its flatware to royalty and even making its mark at international exhibitions, earning awards until at least 1937. Key moments in its history include acquiring the patents for electroplating in 1842, creating the America flatware collection in 1933, and introducing the Aria collection in 1985.  This set includes two (2) large spoons, one (1) server, one (1) large fork, three (3) knives, twelve (12) big spoons, twelves (12) big forks, twelve (12) standard spoons, and eight (8) standard forks.
