CELIO SILVA, ORIGINAL ART #1 - This lot features a large original work of art on board by listed artist, Celio Silva. Signed lower left, this piece measures in frame, 52'' H x 32.5'' W. Silva is one of his state’s only Afro-Brazilian artists who focuses on Black identity in Brasil. He grew up in the favela of Mangueira with very humble beginnings. His talent eventually led him to become one of the most prominent artists in Rio. He has a distinctive style and is easily found painting along the beaches of Ipanema, Leblon, and Copacabana. On Sundays he sells his work at the Hippie Fair in Ipanema.
