Oberseitig flächenfüllende Darstellung des Neptun auf einem Delphin in den Meereswogen stehend, in einem Muschelboot daneben die Göttin mit Begleiterinnen; unterseitig betitelt ”La bela venara e nutuno in maro”. Hellgrundig glasierte Majolika mit polychromer Scharffeuerbemalung in Blau, Ocker und Grün mit wenig Mangan. Ø 24 cm. - Vgl. S. Glaser: Majolika. Picture plate (tondino) with Venus and Neptune Urbino or Venice, second half of the 16th century The upper surface depicts Neptune standing on a dolphin in the ocean waves, with the goddess and her attendants in a shell-shaped boat beside him; the underside is titled ''La bela venara e nutuno in maro'' (Beautiful Venus and Neptune in the sea).
