Zwei Prunkvasen, St. Petersburg, 1855-81 - Zwei Prunkvasen St. Petersburg, 1855-81 Auf quadratischer Plinthe runder Fuß und kurzer Schaft, zylindrischer Korpus, an der Schulter gerundet, Trompetenhals, zwei große gerollte Akanthusblatthandhaben; außen flächendeckender Fond aus Matt- und Glanzgold mit goldradierten Ornamentbändern, schauseitig in Rechteckreserve fein gemalte Darstellung einer Dame in Interieur, einmal lesend, einmal Harfe spielend, beide sign. ”R. Ramier” (?), verso Instrumente in Blütenranken. Porzellan mit farbiger Bemalung und Vergoldung. Am Boden Stempelmarke aus der Regierungszeit Alexander II. H. je 60 cm. - Vergoldung etwas berieben. - Laut Einlieferer aus Coburger Schlossbesitz. Pair of ornamental vases St. Petersburg, 1855-81 Rising from a square plinth, each features a circular foot and short stem; the cylindrical body is rounded at the shoulder and topped by a trumpet-shaped neck, flanked by two large, scrolled acanthus-leaf handles. The exterior features an all-over ground of matte and burnished gold with etched gold ornamental bands; the front displays a finely painted scene within a rectangular reserve-one depicting a lady in an interior reading, the other playing the harp (both signed ''R. Ramier''?), while the reverse shows musical instruments amidst floral tendrils. Porcelain with polychrome painting and gilding. Stamped mark on the base from the reign of Alexander II. Height: 60 cm each. - Gilding slightly rubbed. - According to the consignor, from Coburg Castle.
