Signed and dated ”Bachmann 80” or ”Bachmann 74” in lead lower right. ”Haus” (House) verso again signed and inscribed by the artist ”8/80 Durlach” and titled. ”Haus 2” (House 2) verso inscribed and titled by the artist. One work in a passe-partout. ”Haus” (House) with a small thumbtack hole in the upper center and slightly creased. Verso with abrasions in the upper right corner. ”Haus 2” (House 2) verso with remnants of a former mounting. Dimensions: 25.7 x 18.3 cm, passe-partout 59 x 42 cm / 50 x 65 cm. Hermann Bachmann 1922 Halle/Saale – 1995 Karlsruhe German painter and graphic artist. 1936–42 apprenticeship as a typesetter at the Offenbach/Main School of Art. Practical training in graphic techniques in his father's studio and with Otto Fischer-Lamberg. Military service until 1945. 1953 scholarship from the Federal Association of German Industry. Moved to Berlin, from 1957 teaching position and from 1961 professorship at the HBK. Various awards. Influenced by Willi Sitte and Karl Hofer.
