Wolfgang Bruchwitz 1953 Neubrandenburg – 2025 Dresden Vocational training as a railway construction machinist, Abitur and military service. 1975–78 worked at Sachsenwerk Dresden and as an exhibition technician at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. 1971–83 studied painting and graphics at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, diploma with Prof. Günther Horlbeck. 1986–90 membership in the Association of Fine Artists of the GDR (VBK), parallel work in sandstone restoration. Since 1990 member of the Künstlerbund Dresden. 1990–96 active member of the cultural association ”Riesa Efau”. 2005–10 activities in the cultural office, with the Stadtmission der Diakonie and in the Jugend-Öko-Haus.
