Wolfgang Bruchwitz 1953 Neubrandenburg – 2025 Dresden Vocational training as a railway construction machinist, Abitur (high school diploma) and military service. 1975–78 work at Sachsenwerk Dresden and as an exhibition technician at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. 1971–83 studied painting and graphic arts at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, diploma with Prof. Günther Horlbeck. 1986–90 member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR (VBK), simultaneously working in sandstone restoration. Since 1990 member of the Künstlerbund Dresden. 1990–96 active member of the cultural association ”Riesa Efau”. 2005–10 activities in the cultural office, with the City Mission of Diakonie and in the Youth Eco House.
