Hartwig Ebersbach - Hartwig Ebersbach ”Wanderer”. 1991.. Hartwig Ebersbach 1940 Zwickau – lives in Leipzig Oil on canvas and assemblage (paint tubes). Monogrammed and dated lower left ”HE 91”. Verso on a paper label titled and titled in ballpoint pen, signed ”Hartwig Ebersbach”, dated again ”1991” and provided with an object label and two labels from Galerie Zimmer, Düsseldorf. Framed by the artist's hand in a wooden strip screwed onto the sides, with visible wood grain. WVZ Guratzsch 447, with dimensions of the image section. The work has not been unframed. Dust deposits in the depths of the paint layer. Verso with studio traces. Frame minimally bumped. Dimensions: 120 x 80 cm, frame 124.5 x 83.8 cm. Hartwig Ebersbach 1940 Zwickau – lives in Leipzig 1959–64 studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig with Bernhard Heisig. 1964–79 worked as a freelance trade fair and exhibition designer. 1973 first solo exhibition, together with his brother Wolfram Ebersbach. 1978 began collaboration with composer Friedrich Schenker. 1979 travelled to Western Europe for the Art Basel fair. 1979–83 taught experimental art at the Leipzig Academy. 1981–83 member of the artist group ”37.2”. 1982 exhibition at the Lindenau-Museum Altenburg. 1988–89 travels and exhibitions in the USA and Japan. 1992 study visit to South Africa. Founding member of the Free Academy of Arts in Leipzig. Since 1997 travels to China, Australia and South Tyrol.
