Completed an apprenticeship as an offset retoucher from 1972–75 and attended the evening school of the HfBK in Dresden. From 1975–81, Fleischer worked as a salesman, gardener, warehouse worker and restorer. In 1976, he had his first solo exhibition in Dresden and has been working there as a freelance artist since 1981. In 1983, he founded Leitwolfverlag together with Petra Kasten and Andreas Hegewald, and in 1996, Schlüsselbundverlag. Exhibitions in Dresden, Berlin, Leipzig, Cottbus, Frankfurt am Main. 1991–96 Founding of the gallery ”Blaue Fabrik” with Sigrid Walter and Thomas Haufe. 2005 Hans Theo Richter Prize.
