Signed lower center ”M. FREUDENBERG”. Framed in a simple metal strip. The work was not unframed. Paint layer with isolated crackle formation in the upper right area. Inscription right next to the signature possibly overpainted later. Dimensions: 118 x 77 cm, frame 126.5 x 85 cm. Michael Freudenberg 1949 Dresden – lives in Dresden Freudenberg studied civil engineering in Cottbus until 1972. He works as a self-taught artist in painting, graphics, and object art. Since 1979, he has been working as a freelance artist. While his early works were still rooted in figuration, abstraction and improvisation now dominate. His acquaintances with A. R. Penck and Joseph Beuys certainly also fostered this development.
