Verso again signed in pencil ”WERNER JUZA 8101 WACHAU bei DRESDEN HAUPTSTR. 104 1978”, numbered ”1041” and again signed, described with technique, titled and provided with dimensions in ballpoint pen. Framed in a white painted strip. Dimensions: 20.5 x 17.2 cm, frame 28.7 x 25.5 cm. Werner Juza 1924 Rodewisch – 2022 Sörnewitz 1941 until conscription into military service in 1942, studied architecture in Dresden. After the end of the war, briefly resumed studies in Weimar and worked in an architectural office. From 1951, he worked as a freelance artist. Accepted commissions, especially in churches in need of renovation and restoration, so his main motif focus included Christian themes. One of his best-known works is the fresco ”Reconciliation” in the Dreikönigskirche in Dresden. Honorary member of the Dresden Artists' Association and honorary citizen of the Free State of Saxony. Lived in Wachau near Radeberg.
