Gerda Lepke 1939 Jena – lives in Wurgwitz and Gera 1963–66 evening studies at the HfBK Dresden, 1966–71 studies of painting and graphics there. Self-employed since 1971 and lived and worked with Max Uhlig until about 1973. 1989 co-founder of the Dresden Secession 89, of which she is currently an honorary member. 1993 awarded the first art prize of the city of Dresden. 1996 founding member of the Saxon Academy of Arts. Numerous solo exhibitions, including 1992 Galerie Neue Meister, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, 1999 Lindenau-Museum Altenburg, 2012 Niedersächsisches Landesmuseum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte Oldenburg.
