Dated 'Leipzig, May 6, 1847'. 1 page on 1 double sheet. 23.5 x 14 cm. Moscheles was a teacher of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and, at Mendelssohn's invitation, took over the piano class at the Leipzig Conservatory (founded in 1843, now the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre Leipzig) in 1846. Moscheles wishes to introduce Meser to Miss Willis Browne, one of his pupils, 'through these lines' and asks him to treat her in business matters as he would other musicians and to offer her advice.
