Family registers - 5 albums Southern Germany - Family registers. Four family registers, mostly from southern Germany. Circa 1820-1870. Oblong small octavo. Each contains loose leaves in contemporary leather or cardboard boxes with gilt and blind stamping, mostly with the title 'Souvenir' or 'Remembrance'. 1. Album of a young woman named Babette, a student at the English Institute in Augsburg. With 24 handwritten entries. Mostly Augsburg, 1837-43. With 6 hair appliqués, 2 copperplate engravings, and 1 collage. 2. Album of Jetta Büschau (?). With 52 handwritten entries. Mostly Bamberg, Stadtsteinach, and Guttenberg, 1837-48. With numerous watercolors and hair appliqués. 3. Album of Wenzel from Upper Lusatia. With approximately 30 handwritten entries. Mostly Seifhennersdorf, 1845-72. With 2 watercolors, 1 pen drawing, and 3 collages. 4. Album of a student at the 'Maison Royale' (near Versailles?). With 16 handwritten entries in French. 1820-21. With 2 pencil drawings and 1 watercolor, as well as 1 sheet with hair appliqués of all the female students. - 1 supplement: Collection of 17 album leaves with watercolor and pencil drawings as well as mounted copper engravings, including 1 sheet with an entry, dated Würzburg, 1808.
