Mostly Regensburg, also Taxis Castle, Dischingen, etc., 1801-29. With 11 colored watercolors, 7 colored copper engravings, 4 (1 loose) embroidered pictures, and 1 pencil drawing. Oblong octavo. Contemporary leather binding with floral gilt spine, spine flap, and gilt edges (somewhat rubbed), in a marbled cardboard slipcase. The Illing family were the gardeners at Taxis Castle in Dischingen, Baden-Württemberg. - With entries by the brother Johann C. Kettner, the sister Margaretha Elisabetha Kettner, the cousin Johann Georg Kettner, the sons Johann and Wilhelm August Illing, the granddaughter ... (?) Illing (from 1840), the orphanage administrator Anton Kaemel, the orphanage teacher Wendelin Geiger, the friends Johann Melchior Frank, George Pühler, Anna Catharina Zöllner, Babette Bertl, FF Spandow, Hieronymus Stadler, Apollonia Hetzel, and others. - Loosely enclosed is one sheet with a pencil drawing and entry by the cousin Ferdinand Illing, dated 'Mexico 1866'. - One further sheet is loose.
