Family Register Hannover & Supplement - Family registers. Album of a young woman from the Hanover area. With approximately 60 handwritten entries on about 90 leaves. Mostly Hanover, also Beinum, Flachstöckheim, Klein Mahner, 1857-1872. With 1 color watercolor. Oblong octavo. Blind- and gilt-stamped original leather binding (slightly rubbed). With entries by his sister Emma, brother Karl, brother-in-law F. Wallmann, friends Bertha Lüllemann, Amalie Kleinschmidt, Antonia Mees, Henriette and Louis Wildhagen, Arnold Görmann, and others. Endpapers stained, inner hinges cracked. Also included: Notebook of Mr. E. Rabe (?) from Lower Saxony. Approx. 60 leaves with handwritten entries. Circa 1840-95. Large octavo. Contemporary private blue gilt-stamped paper binding with monogram 'ER' on the front cover (somewhat bumped). A colorful collection of poems and texts by Schiller, Jean Paul, Chateaubriand, and others, his own texts for various occasions, puzzles, newspaper advertisements, songs from Kladderadatsch, etc., concluding with a list of 'Books to be recommended (?).' Enclosed are some loose newspaper articles and documents.
