Approximately 120 pages in total, including 20 original photographs, 40 photo postcards, and approximately 140 signed letters of congratulations, telegrams, thank-you notes, etc. 4°. Original leather and leather bindings with gilt title (one front cover with losses to the mounted leather borders). In 1954, Hannover 96 became German football champions with a 5-1 victory over the defending champions, 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The Hannoverians achieved this surprising success at Hamburg's Volksparkstadion, a feat hailed as the club's greatest upset since 1938. This extensive collection likely originates from within the Hannover 96 community and includes photographs of the decisive match, goal celebrations, the lap of honor on the stadium, the stadium itself, the championship celebration, and more. It also contains numerous signed letters of congratulations from other clubs, including Bayern Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Holstein Kiel, FC St. Pauli, Union Berlin, Werder Bremen, Kaiserslautern, etc., as well as from the Lower Saxony and North German Football Associations, the National Olympic Committee, Minister-President Hinrich Wilhelm Kopf, various companies and clubs from Hanover and the surrounding area, numerous supporters of the club, etc. Some include carbon copies of the reply letters. The photographs are mostly press photos with publisher's stamps and mounted descriptions on the reverse.
