Lithograph stone Persian horse - lithographic stone 'The Persian Horse'. Solnhofen limestone, circa 1840. Inscribed below on the stone, dated '1841' and numbered 'Tab. XII.' above. Stone dimensions 19.5 x 23.5 x 7 cm, image size 15 x 20 cm. Weight 7.8 kg. Heavy, surface-polished slate stone, roughly hewn on the sides, with a chalk drawing of a horse and its leader against an oriental cityscape on the top.
