Oceania, Papua New Guinea, Admiralty Islands (Manus Province) 20th century or earlier. Obsidian stone cut blade with bark painted handle constructed of tree nut resin, fibers, and pigment. Symbols of status these daggers often have red, white, and black painted patterns to their handles in ornate designs. 11" H, 11 1/2" H on included custom stand
