Islamic Percussion Rifle, 19th C. Ottoman / Afghan
Islamic middle eastern percussion rifle with a Afghan stock in brown wood and carved with scenes of scrolling and well engraved mounts. Lock plate with a running hound, zoomorphic hammer, and engraved trigger guard. Barrel an exceptional Ottoman Damascus steel with gilt and silver inlaid decoration. Inscriptions to the middle section and numerous other decorative features. Octagonal to round with gilt brass bands. Horn butt. Leather sling. Size 56 1/2" L, barrel 41" L
Condition: Good condition with typical wear commensurate with age and use
