Polish Hussars Lobster Tail Helmet, circa 1800s - Officer helmet featuring a very wide lobster tail rear set of lames covered in rivets. Cheek plates consisting of multiple lames, pierced and riveted together. Protruding brim with numerous rivets and a large nasal bar pierced at its point with an openwork symbol. Skull is a heavy single piece construction with numerous rivets and raised sections. Size 16” H x 17” L x 12” W at widest point (lobster tail) Ex-Southern California Estate Condition: Good condition with typical wear commensurate with age and use.
