Japanese Army Officers Sword - WWII era Japanese army officers sword with scabbard. Finely patinated and preserved green colored scabbard with gilt brass mounts. Blade a single edge katana blade with fitted collar and mounts. Tsuba in a heavily gilt and pierced thick brass with four floral carvings. Handle is tightly wrapped flat with ray skin under and a fine Japanese menuki. Size 38 1/2” L, blade 26 1/2” L Southern California Collection Condition: metal belt loop hanger mount on sword sheath loose.
