Japanese Yari Spear Head, Signed - Fine Japanese spear head known as a Sei-sankaku Yari or Ginnan Hoya Yari head, probably Edo period around the 17th century. Hefty three sided form with a recessed fuller inlaid in vibrant red lacquer. Tang signed with a multicharacter mark and pierced for attachment to the shaft. Size 16 3/4” L, spear head 3 1/4” L Ex-Southern California Estate Condition: Blade without a recent polish with some distinction visible from the central panels to the tempered edges.
