Agate Inset Rams Snuff Horn - Fine brass mounted and well spiraled snuff horn with an agate inset lid. The horn in a well patinated color and appearance. Snuff horns were used to carry and dispense snuff, a powdered tobacco product typically taken by inhaling through the nostrils. Similar to powder horns for gunpowder, snuff horns were popular during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Size 9” W x 6 3/4” H
