American Masonic Sword & Scabbard - US deluxe quality masonic sword with scabbard similar to examples of the Knights of Pythias. Single edged curved blade in high polish with etching throughout. Ricasso etched (The Pettibone Bros. MFG. CO, Cintio), to the other side script (KP) monogram. Either side of the blade with additional etching and writing of a man and woman, bound man and initials. Handle in gilt brass with guard and lion head pommel. Handle in ray skin with a gilt twisted wire over. Scabbard in a bright polish with fine cast gilt mounts including the top belt loop and mount a full profile of an armored legionnaire warrior standing over crossed sword. Below the center mount with file openwork gilt and mid relief panoply of arms with a lily center. Stamped to the scabbard under a screw (888). Size 40”, blade 33 1/2” L Southern California Collection
