Marked to the lock plate with the crown left, right ”1864, TOWER” and imported by the south for the Confederate units. Stock in a dark brown with brass and steel mounts. Barrel a single stage round smooth bore marked to the left side of the breach ”Crown” over (T) and downward arrow, (B) over (88), and another British Proof below.
