Balanced Chinese Dadao Sword, Qing Dynasty - Authentic Chinese dadao sword with excellent balance and preservation. The blade a long single edge with double fuller. Guard in brass. Handle in a finely wrapped woven leather and well preserved blackish-red lacquer coating. Probably of the Boxer Rebellion period circa 1899-1901 or earlier. 32” L overall, 21 1/2” L blade Ex-Southern California Collection Condition: very good with some light wear to the surfaces of the handle
