European Armour Fauld Plate, 16th c. - Early European armour fauld consisting of two lames with a hilt brass rosettes to the rivets, 16th century. Heavily darkened probably from the harness of a Spanish Colonial armour with a dark finish. Higgins Armory Museum Inv. Number (828). Size 13” W Ex-Southern California Collection, Ex-Thomas Del Mar, London, Ex-Higgins Armory Museum Condition: Typical corrosion and wear commensurate with age and use.
