US M1860 Civil War Sword w/ Scabbard
Early period US Civil War model 1860 sword with scabbard. Scabbard all steel with two belt loops. Single edged curved blade with wide shallow fuller. Blade marked with white pigment to the ricasso (M100) and numerals below. Guard in brass with three bars to the fitted pommel. Leather grip with twisted brass wire. Marked to the guard (D.C.B. 98). Leather sword knot / tassel in good condition with minor wear. The markings are commensurate with other examples attributed to a prop house which kept and used for the purposes of film original antiques. Size 42" L, blade 34" L
