Indian Chilanum Dagger, 17th/18th C. - 17th/18th century Indian Chilanum dagger with a recurved blade. Pair of fullers to the lower half of the blade converging at the forte which is decorated with silver koftgari flowers and foliage. Iron hilt extending to a pair of arms enclosing the forte. Grip with central bulbous sections for grip and extends to a large khanjarli pommel. Later added darkened wooden plates mounted to the khanjarli pommel affixed with three floral rivets. Size 15” L, blade 10” L Condition: Some loss to forte silvering, later replaced wooden pommel.
