Japanese Katana by Bizen Sukesada, circa late 1500s - Japan, Koto Period Pre 1596, signed Bizen Sukesada late Muromachi period circa late 1500's. ”Bizen Sukesada” refers to a group of swordsmiths active in the Bizen province (present-day Okayama Prefecture) during the late Muromachi period (1492-1569), known for producing katana and wakizashi, and the signature ”Bishu Osafune Sukesada”.
