Extraordinary .650 Cal Ottoman Percussion Rifle, 18th C. - Extraordinarily fine quality 18th. century Ottoman presentation percussion rifle etched in gold koftgari and Damascus barrel and mounts. Etched twist sighted barrel rifled with several grooves. Barrel chiseled with a cartouche-shaped panel encrusted with gold scrollwork. Four panels run the length of the barrel with gold Islamic inscription followed by gold lined barrel smith's mark. Recessed chiseled breech decorated with flowers, break tang fitted with calibrated folding back-sigh, gold encrusted etched lock signed by the maker in gold. Size 44 1/2” L, barrel 29 1/4” L
