French Officers Sword, Napoleonic Wars 1790-1810 - Good example of an antique Napoleonic War period French officers sword circa 1790-1810. Long curved single edge blade with a wide shallow fuller. Steel guard with single downturned quillion and flat D-shaped bar over handle to the fitted pommel. Grip in leather wrapped with twisted steel wire.
