European Etched Armour Backplate, 18th c. - Old European armour backplate of unusual style with etched panels in the Milanese style probably circa 18th century or just after. Interior all hand hammered with clear signs of hand cut edged and rolled surfaces. Surface with a thick patina and left untouched depicting intricate scrolling motifs and three figures in profile and all wearing armour and two with shields and arms.
