Japanese Army Officers Gunto Sword & Scabbard - Japanese army officers gunto sword and scabbard. Single edge blade with slight curve. Cast metal tsuba in brass with four flowers to either side. Unsigned to the tang of the blade. Handle in ray skin wrap with twisted cotton over. Sleeve fitting with floral decoration matching Gunto style mounts. Scabbard in grey finish and gilt mounts. Size 39 1/4” L, Blade 25” L Ex-Los Angeles Estate Condition: Brass blade collar with oxidation and discoloration, other minor wear as shown.
