Large Moro Kris Sword - Philippines, Large Moro Kris sword with a 5-wave to straight double edged blade in laminated steel of the 2oth century, approximately second quarter . Blade with engraved decoration at the thin fullers to the straight section of the blade. Chiseled with openwork to either side of the ricasso. Silver sleeve to base of the grip rewrapped with a bright green cord over wood, grip purposefully reversed. Fruit or burl wood pommel. Size 28 1/2” L, blade 21 3/4” Ex-Southern California Moro Collection Condition: cracks and wear overall with typical oxidization from age currently well preserved with a thin mineral oil or wax coating over metal components.
