Catalan Stock Escopeta Percussion Rifle, Signed Pedro G. 1854 - Iberian Peninsula, Spanish Colonial Escopeta percussion rifle signed / inlaid Pedro G. 1854 in silver. Blued octagonal to round barrel, chiseled transition. Silver inlaid horizontal line to base and above silver scrolling inlaid between with the inscription reading ”En Eibar, Por Pedro Guisasola, Ano 1854”. Lock plate in bluing with engraved surfaces in scrolling. Walnut stock in brown. Engraving matching and blued to trigger guard. Blued and engraved side plate. Silver engraved wedding band to the barrel. Forward sight. Later ramrod. Size 49 1/2” L, barrel 33 3/4” L Used in New Mexico and Texas during the Borderlands period 1500's - 1850s.
