20th C. Moro Barong w/ Bakelite Pommel - 1st to 2nd quarter of the 20th century. Filipino Moro baron sword with sheath. Leaf shaped blade terminates into brass collar and handle. Wood kakatua pommel ornately decorated with brass and colorful inlays. Pommel caged with inlaid and carved Bakelite composing the kakatua beak and crest. Wood scabbard elaborately incised to one side with floral motifs and circular metal inlay. Size 25” L, blade 16 1/2” L
